Description
Somfit System Components
Four components make up the Somfit system:
- An adhesive-gel electrode that is only used once
This gathers physiological data while being worn on the patient’s forehead.
- The electrode is pressed with the Somfit gadget.
The sensors are housed in the Somfit, which also uses Bluetooth to send the data to the app.
- An application
This is used to send the study data for processing and to regulate the Somfit.
- Profusion Nexus360 is a cloud-based system for reporting and managing data.
The best way to use Somfit
Somfit works best in the following fields:
- applications for high volume testing.
- contexts with low user knowledge, like primary care, occupational health, and home sleep tests.
- clinical research, where its cheaper cost each study makes it a good alternative to PSG.
- due to the comparatively low costs of data collecting and management, physiological and sleep data can be collected over extended periods of time (weeks and months).
- Additionally, Somfit can be used to remotely take a patient’s vital signs.
Gold Standard Sleep Technology: Why Use It?
In order to reliably measure and detect actual deep sleep and REM, which are crucial metrics for brain restoration and body recovery, Somfit’s technology has been medically validated, and the data it collects is Gold Standard. Should the necessity arise, the information can be utilized for medical consultations with your general practitioner or sleep expert.
