Daily Maintenance

  • Remove the cushion from your mask and wash it with warm water and a mild, unscented soap. Avoid antibacterial soaps, as they are too harsh for the materials.
  • Fill your humidifier each night with distilled water. Tap water can promote bacterial growth and damage the metal base of the water chamber.
  • Refresh the humidifier water every day.
  • Wipe the exterior of your CPAP device with a dry cloth to remove dust.

Weekly Maintenance

  • Wash the humidifier chamber with mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry.
  • Clean the entire mask and headgear strap with mild soap and warm water. Hang the strap to dry; it requires several hours of drying time.
  • Wash the tubing in a sink with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly, then hang it over a towel rack or shower rod to dry completely.

Monthly Maintenance

  • Check your CPAP filter and replace it when it becomes gray or clogged.
  • Regularly inspect all your equipment for signs of wear.

Every Six Months

  • Schedule a maintenance appointment so our team can clean, inspect, and optimize the operation of your device and its accessories.
